Description

Ammdent GI Zirconia Reinforced GIC is a tooth coloured zirconia reinforced glass ionomer cement designed to deliver enhanced strength durability and esthetics in restorative dentistry. The incorporation of zirconia fillers significantly improves compressive strength edge stability and wear resistance making it ideal for stress bearing posterior restorations. It offers excellent dimensional stability ensuring long lasting marginal integrity and reliable clinical performance. The material is self adhesive eliminating the need for additional bonding agents and simplifying restorative procedures. Sustained fluoride release provides continuous caries protection supporting long term oral health. With improved translucency GI Zirconia delivers better esthetic outcomes compared to conventional reinforced glass ionomers. It combines the durability of silver amalgam without the associated mercury hazards making it a safe effective and patient friendly restorative choice for modern dental practice.

Direction to Use

Preparation

  • Isolate the tooth and ensure the cavity is clean and free from debris
  • Condition the cavity surface if required, then rinse and gently air dry without desiccation
  • Prepare a clean mixing surface and spatula before dispensing the material

Mixing

  • Dispense the powder and liquid onto the mixing pad
  • Mix briskly to obtain a smooth, homogeneous, and glossy consistency
  • Complete mixing within the specified working time to ensure optimal handling

Placement

  • Immediately place the mixed material into the prepared cavity
  • Adapt the material well against cavity walls using suitable hand instruments
  • Allow the material to self-adhere without excessive manipulation

Setting and Finishing

  • Allow the restoration to set undisturbed for the recommended setting time
  • Perform finishing and contouring after initial set using fine finishing instruments
  • Apply a protective coating if required to prevent early moisture contamination

Post-Operative Care

  • Advise the patient to avoid heavy biting on the restoration immediately after placement
