The Luxatip is ergonomically designed for comfort and control during use. The shape and size of the handle is designed to minimize the force needed. The tip is extremely fine, so that you can insert it easily between bone and root with the minimum of destruction. The specially processed Stainless steel used in the blade is extremely durable and it retains its strength and sharpness after sterilization.Medical grade silicone used in the handle is autoclavable and helps in better grip.
- GDC Luxatip are used to force a wedge between the root of the tooth and the surrounding bone, which helps to loosen the tooth within the socket.
- GDC Luxatips are often used before the use of forceps to ensure there is some movement of the tooth to be extracted.
- The tip is curved and rounded and may be straight or angled in a small or large size.
