Description

DPI F-Cresol Formocresol is a highly effective endodontic medicament used primarily for vital pulpotomy in primary teeth and as a root canal disinfectant. With over 80 years of clinical use, it remains a benchmark in pulp therapy due to its strong bactericidal properties. The formaldehyde and cresol components work synergistically to mummify pulp tissue and inhibit microbial activity, promoting healing and preventing reinfection. DPI F-Cresol Formocresol is widely used as a temporary intracanal dressing in endodontic procedures and is compatible with most irrigants and sealers. It penetrates deeply into the root canal system to eliminate biofilms and reduce inflammation. Ideal for disinfecting severely infected canals, it offers stability, consistency, and high clinical success in pediatric and adult dentistry.
