Features
High fluoride release
SeT’s free movement of fluoride provides benefits to the tooth. Fluoride plays several significant roles in any caries-prevention program. These include the formation of fluorapatite, which is more acid-resistant than hydroxyapatite. Fluorapatite is harder than other tooth minerals. It helps to provide protection from tooth decay.
Fast and easy
SeT is an all-in-one luting cement. It etches, bonds, and fills with just one component. Simply apply seT and seat your restoration. seT produces a low film thickness and fluidity to seat cemented restorations.
Radiopacity
Detectable on x-ray radiographs, seT is great for recalls when margins are regularly checked for integrity
Minimal to no postoperative sensitivity
SeT does not require separate etching and washing. The smear layer remains intact to protect the tooth. This dramatically reduces, if not eliminates, post-operative sensitivity
Choice of delivery tips
SeT PP syringes can be adapted for a variety of delivery options. The regular mixing tips are predominantly used for dispensing into crown and bridge. In conjunction with a wide mixing tip, endodontic and intraoral tips are also available.
Dual cure
Designed to combine the advantages of light curing and self-curing, seT is the ideal luting cement for most of your cementation needs
No Bisphenol A or HEMA
SeT does not contain any Bisphenol A (including its derivatives) or HEMA. Use this product on your patients with confidence and peace of mind.
Descriptions
Set PP is a fluoride-releasing self-etching, self-adhesive dual-cure resin cement in a paste/paste system. ‘seT PP’ is designed for the cementation of indirect ceramic, metal or composite inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, posts, screws, and veneers.
INDICATIONS:
Ceramic, metal, or composite inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, posts, and screws
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Product may cause skin irritations to some people. In such cases, discontinue use and seek medical attention.

Direction to Use
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
TOOTH PREPARATION:
1. Select the appropriate shade of ‘seT PP’
2. Remove the temporary restoration and clean the preparation thoroughly using an oil free pumice to remove any remaining temporary cement
(NOTE: temporary restoration should only be seated with eugenol-free cement)
3. Try in the restoration
4. Again, clean with water and dry, but DO NOT DESICCATE.
WARNING: In cases where pulp protection is necessary, use a hard setting calcium hydroxide liner before the final impression is made. Substances such as hydrogen peroxide, desensitizers, disinfectants, astringents and dentin sealants etc should not be used as residues may interfere with bond strength and setting reactions.
RESTORATION PREPARATION:
Clean thoroughly and prepare the restoration according to manufacturer’s instructions.
PREPARATION OF SYRINGE:
Remove cap. Dispense 2-3mm of material onto a pad and discard (to ensure correct ratio of extrusion). Attach a mixing tip to the syringe
MIXING BY HAND:
Without mixing tip attached, extrude even amount of material onto mixing pad. With a suitable spatula mix the two pastes together for 30 seconds
APPLICATION of ‘seT PP’
1. Protect the work area against contamination from intra-oral fluids
2. Place or extrude ‘seT PP’ evenly onto all bonding surfaces of the restoration and tooth.
NOTE: Do not use Lentulo-Spirals to insert the cement into root canals, as this can excessively accelerate setting. Also to avoid entrapping air, vibrate posts while inserting into root canal.
NOTE: In the case of veneers, use an adhesive (Go!, Stae, etc according to manufacturer’s instructions including any etching procedure) prior to seT PP to improve the retentive strength. Cement only 1-2 veneers at a time due to limitation of the paste’s working time.
3. Seat restoration, and leave for 30 seconds before any light curing is carried out
4. Trim excess material away after light curing for 2 seconds or after 2 minutes from start of mixing
NOTE: If excess cement is removed with a sponge pellet or a similar implement leave a minimal amount of excess after restoration is seated. Immediately after, either briefly light-cure the excess or if allowing to self-cure cover the excess with glycerine gel to prevent oxygen inhibition
5. Light cure thoroughly to speed up setting process (minimum 20 seconds per surface). In the case of composite and all ceramic materials, light cure ‘seT PP’ through the restoration
6. Polish marginal area
