Descriptions

TrusFIL-Flow Flowable Composite Restorative is a dental material designed for various restorative procedures, ranging from minimally invasive cavity repairs to esthetic indirect restoration repairs. Its indications encompass a wide range of applications, including restoring carious lesions, serving as a base or liner under direct restorations, repairing small defects in esthetic indirect restorations, acting as a pit and fissure sealant, facilitating undercut blockout, and mending resin and acrylic temporary restorations.

One of the standout features of TrusFIL-Flow is its nanostructured filler loading, which contributes significantly to its exceptional polishability and long-lasting shine appearance. This characteristic not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also ensures durability post-curing. The material boasts impressive physical and chemical properties, such as a flexural strength of 103.56 MPa and a flexural modulus of 5.30 GPa, guaranteeing structural integrity and resilience.

TrusFIL-Flow’s controlled flow rheology makes it easy to manipulate and control accurately during application. It exhibits self-leveling properties, enabling it to achieve a perfectly flat plane, crucial for optimal restorative outcomes. The availability of multiple shades further enhances its aesthetic versatility, ensuring seamless integration with natural tooth coloration.

Additionally, TrusFIL-Flow offers remarkable X-ray radiopacity and radiation resistance, exceeding 300%, which is essential for diagnostic clarity and longevity. Its mimicking of natural fluorescence adds another dimension to its aesthetic appeal, blending seamlessly with the surrounding tooth structure.

Direction to Use

Prepare the Cavity:

  • Begin by cleaning the cavity thoroughly to remove any debris or bacteria.
  • Optionally, perform phosphoric etching if needed for enhanced adhesion.

Apply Dental Adhesive:

  • Apply an appropriate dental adhesive according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure complete coverage within the prepared cavity.

Light Cure:

  • After applying the adhesive, use a dental curing light to cure the adhesive layer for the recommended time (typically around 10 seconds). This step promotes bonding strength.

Flowable Resin Application:

  • Apply TrusFIL-Flow Flowable Composite Restorative within the cavity as needed for base or liner purposes. Ensure even distribution and coverage.

Light Cure Flowable Resin:

  • Use the dental curing light to cure the applied flowable resin. Follow the recommended curing time for optimal results.

Fill with Composite Resin:

  • Proceed to fill the remaining cavity space with a light-cure composite resin suitable for restorative purposes. Ensure proper adaptation and contouring.

Adjustment:

  • After filling the cavity, adjust the restoration as necessary to achieve the desired shape, contour, and occlusion. Use appropriate dental instruments for shaping and smoothing.

Final Light Cure:

  • Once adjustments are made, perform a final light cure using the dental curing light. Ensure adequate curing time to achieve full polymerization and strength.

Polish and Trim:

  • After curing, polish the restored surface using dental polishing instruments to achieve a smooth and esthetic finish. Remove any excess material and trim as needed for optimal restoration contour.

Finish:

  •  Complete the procedure by ensuring the restoration meets functional and esthetic standards. Check occlusion, polish again if necessary, and provide aftercare instructions to the patient.
